New Year! New You?
With 2018 behind us, a fresh start ahead awaits. So, our office decided to get in the new year spirit and share with you all our new year’s resolution or “word” of the year! Keep reading and find out what we came up with.
Dr. Holt, adventure. I think Dr. Holt’s photos of adventure speak for themselves. 🙂
Megan, hope. “Finding joy in the journey of life by focusing on the simple things in life that matter such as having a kind heart, fierce mind, and brave spirit.”
Anna, courage. “I’m striving to have the courage this year. I have changes that are coming and want to exercise the courage to do what needs to be done even if it’s a new or unusual experience. Let’s go 2019!
Lyn, grace. “My chosen word for this year is “grace.” It connotes an attitude of understanding and forgiveness that I hope to give as well as receive. Thinking of it will help me cope with conflict in a gentle, thoughtful, self-controlled way instead of being belligerent, defensive, self-righteous and impatient, as I can sometimes (too often!!) be if I’m not thinking of the person I want to be. It is the attitude God bestows on humans, and the world would be a better place if we remember that and direct grace toward each other.”
Lyndsay, energy. “2019 is the year of “energy.” Looking back on 2018, my energy lacked greatly in all aspects. I have decided to dedicate more of my time to physical activities such as yoga and fitness classes. By engaging in more physical activities I’m hoping this will naturally set the base and foundation for any other energy or focus I want to develop. Good energy is contagious, it introduces you before you even speak. #THEVIBRANTMIND”
Hannah, optimistic. “Optimistic is my word for the new year because 2018 made me that way. My last year had a few ups that didn’t work out, so I am choosing optimism in hopes that I can start to look on the brighter side of things for myself and for whatever is to come in this new year.”
For everyone out there, we hope that your new year is as fulfilling as you want it to be!
